Clyde Clock, Buchanan Bus Station

The cube-shaped clock – perched on top of a pair of stainless steel legs, 20 feet high – reminds Glaswegians to run on time every day.
The iconic clock is actually knows as 'Running Time', and was created by the witty Glasgow-born artist George Wyllie. In 1999, Radio Clyde commissioned Wyllie to create a street sculpture to celebrate 25 years of independent broadcasting. A different angle and some post-camera processing gives a different look to the 2nd shot, with the lad moving crossing the precinct in similar purposeful style.
Additional 'sculpture': This blue structure must be another sculpture, I reckon. It was not there a week ago - on a piece of landscaped ground in front of Strathclyde University's very hi-tech and multi-million pound Technology and Information Centre. Or else, men are coming back to fence off the ground with it! Or perhaps it's a giant 'Keep off the Grass' device. What do you think!?
