Pumpkin soup, did you say?

At last, the Halloween Party was upon us - hurray! Little D was sporting Miss A's pirate costume from last year and Miss A was in her yellow pumpkin outfit. I found a wedding dress which I'd bought in a charity shop 20 years ago and coordinated with white face and hair. Rob went as, erm, Rob.

Hazel and Stevie are clearly big fans of Halloween and they and the kids went to town on their costumes and make up - everyone looked ghoulishly fab. It was understandable then, when Stevie opened the door to us, that he was somewhat disgusted with rob's lack of costume. Ten minutes later, with a little Stevie magic, Rob appeared through the door like an espisode of Stars in their Eyes, dressed as Captain Scary Sparrow! I've never once seen Rob dress up so this was beyond hilarious - especially the blonde wig!

The kids were running around on a sugar high but were all remarkably well behaved. This allowed the adults to congregate in the kitchen (where else) and enjoy a catch up over numerous glasses of wine.

It was a great party, with great people, made all the greater that I have now seen Rob in fancy dress!
