Curlew and Canada Geese

It's been a bit of a damp day on and off, but I did manage to get out for an hour at lunchtime. 
Unfortunately there was not much to be seen, but I did see something behind the Canada Geese on the marsh. And it turned out to be a curlew. 
Apparently there are plenty of waders in amongst the marsh - sandpipers, redshank, greenshank, snipe etc., but you don't normally see them because of the long grass. 

Not a great shot, but at least it's something! 

So hoping for better weather for the rest of the week, especially the weekend.
