Here there and everywhere

Gutenberg House, Budapest

Coffee in the Airbnb flat, then headed out for a wander.  This is the Gutenberg House in the VIII district and neither of us can remember coming across it when we lived there.  Here's a link to a 2' video on it:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1WY_Z25Qoqw  I think it's now private flats.
Extras are of the food market in the same district; the famous traditional tram line 2 on Parliament Square, which for the price of a normal ticket gives you a scenic ride along the Danube;  the lovely signage for Hero Square (Hösök Here) 'friendly' metro stop; Buda across the river; and a little record shop in the street where we used to go a lot in the V district and where we had lunch (goose) in a very traditional lunch - an old favourite.  From there we walked to a street which is famous for antique shops and we bought two little pieces to add to our Janös Török 'collection'. We returned to what we used to call our local Italian on Andrassy for dinner and Lucas the owner had set a vase of flowers on our table!  Great welcome, service and food and when we left they insisted we take the flowers with us!  A lovely day, but a bit too much food!  The diet will have to start soon.
