They’re out!

An early start today in order to get to the Bath and West Show Field to Fork day at the Show Ground. My lady who manipulates ours backs, Miss Whiplash, stayed the night with us on her way north to do a raft of horses ( and no doubt the odd human) in the Derbyshire area. Yesterday evening she attended to my various back problems so today I am stiff!

So after a quick early morning cuppa we set off arriving at 8:30 . Then Mr Tbay and I set up his demo area which was all about animal feeds. I then headed off to steward one of the groups of children from 42 local schools who had come to the Field and Fork day. It is a day devised to show children all aspects of agriculture and food production . We had demos of milking, shearing, egg production, sheep, pigs, bees and much more plus a whole arable section too. Bread was made and there was a butchery demonstration too. The children very much enjoyed it all!

Once we had waved goodbye to the children, Mr Tbay and I then headed back home before he then set off again with Mr Tbay Jnr for a business meeting.

Farming - All go! Compost hauling, Muck spreading and ploughing.

The weather was fab today. It was so wonderful to feel the sun on our faces again.

But best of all, we have put thr horses out to grass at long last. Hoorah! No stables to muck out!
