All of a sudden

In the heat the flowers are opening rapidly.  The garden changes every day.  Buds, held in suspended animation during the cold weather, are bursting open, stems are lengthening, bees are buzzing and butterflies fluttering.  Full  on Spring!

An hour on the allotment, digging and finally planting Broad Beans, another hour finishing putting shade netting around the greenhouse and frames, was almost enough out in the hot sunshine.  Early evening saw Jamie at a rehearsal.  Eight violinists playing Pachelbels's Canon in three parts .... sublime as I listened, sitting outside in the warmth.  Later a talk at AGS about a wonderful garden in Hampshire - not sure if I was inspired or left feeling that I should give up now!

A good day.
