Orchard House

Not a great photo! But took my chance and got Paul to take this on my phone when I took Allegra to go visit him at work today.

She was very shy as he took her round introducing us to staff and residents but softened up when the wife of a resident gave her some malteasers! And even more when one of the staff went round giving residents ice lolls and gave her one too! By the end she didn’t want to leave (though she was coming on to a sugar high so I got her out quick!).

In the photo the staff had all come out the front to wait for the funeral procession of one of their residents to go past - a tradition they have where they stand out front for them and the hearses slow down and the guy walks in front as they pass the home - thought it was a lovely touch to the care they give people during life to give this send off afterwards...
