Quietly Flows the Flow

I eschewed the usual morning breakfast (the Current Mrs Creel popping a lightly piece of buttered kipper in my mouth, Carstairs ironing the Times in the scullery) and leapt out of bed like a Cuvier’s Gazelle.

I immediately went and started digging another trench.  This was based on the Radio Orkney weather forecast which indicated this sun won’t last.

There’s quite a bit of shipping activity today in the blue becalmed Scapa Flow.  Those of you who need to get a life will notice we have had a further delivery of ovines.  However they are not in our care - Luke is in charge.

And not Luke Ewe as they used to say in Aberbargoed.

I have been informed we are taking my mother out for lunch.  I only know we won’t be visiting the Lauder Arms.
