Damson blossom

Today's the day ........................... to keep your fingers crossed

The damson tree in our front garden is covered in blossom - which could lead to a bumper crop of fruit.

But on the other hand, the damson harvest is a notoriously fickle event, and very dependant on whether or not there have been any late frosts.  I'd say that the blossom is quite late in appearing this year - in common with a lot of other plants.  So we just have to keep our fingers crossed that the danger is past and all will be well.

And in the meantime, we can enjoy the blossom for itself .....................
