Desert Art

I'm a day late in posting my entry for abstract Thursday but I hope it gets a peek.  The theme was impressionist. I not much of an art aficionado but I did my best in using layers, selecting backgrounds, adjusting opacity and choosing an interesting blending mode. Again, another excuse to practice a few new techniques. 

I'm getting rather fond of desert scenes and will probably do a lot more, especially since the desert is about 100 yds away from me (I do have to walk to the end of my street to get to the gated entrance.)  I'll still concentrate on a lot of birds but I really am trying to stretch myself into other things.  Those things will also get me out of the house and moving more often.
