Pristine

Newly opened flower of Trillium grandiflorum, pure, unblemished white.  As it ages it will become flushed with pink ... if last year is anything to go by.  Trillium are sometimes referred to by the common name Wake-Robin, flowering as they do in Spring when the birds start nesting.

A woodland plant from North America, I raised this from seed sent by an American friend some years ago.  This year I have four flowers .... the best show yet.

Jamie and I have journeyed to Sheffield today.  Tomorrow Norwich Lowriders play in the Elite 8's event for the top eight  teams in the national Junior League.  Another summery day as Mother Nature continues to restore the balance after a cold winter.
