A Grand Day Out

In Sheffield, at the English Institute of Sport for the Elite 8's Junior League Finals.  The top 8 teams in the UK after the season of qualifying, pitched against each other in a knockout competition.  Norwich Lowriders had qualified as one of two highest runners up and we were just 'happy to be here.'

The picture shows the Lowriders and the Jaguars before our second match - each team had played and lost their first match, this was to decide who went to the 5th/6th place play-off and who the 7th/8th play-off.

We've played Jags before, losing twice and winning once.  Today's was the closest match yet.  Lowriders were behind for most of the match, drawing level a couple of times before taking the lead with one minute forty seconds to go.  Nerve wracking, nail biting stuff ..... well, shouting and whooping and cheering stuff actually.  The full time score is shown in the extra pic.

PS Lowriders went on to win 47-45 :-) in extra time and eventually finished sixth overall.
