Scheveningen

Today we took a walk to the seaside resort of Scheveningen .  It's one of the districts of The Hague.  It was really hot, a beautiful day for being at the beach.  We walked along the pier, which has two levels.  The lower, covered level contains cafes, bars, shops and a children's play area.  Upstairs is the open-air level giving spectacular views on both sides.  Our taxi driver yesterday told us that you can walk from here all the way to Amsterdam...maybe we'll leave that till another day - time for this peely-wally ginger to take cover in this sunshine   :o)
