The Colony

Sun from morning (rather early) till dusk (rather late - sure, there's a grand stretch in the evenings). 
Very enjoyable it was too. 
Went to see Finn's football team sustain a respectable 2-11 defeat against Lucan FC. Caught a few rays, all good. 
Then kayaking session in the afternoon. Mrs Raheny dropped my at Coliemore Harbour and I happily paddled my way to Coal Harbour, a spitting distance away from the Mistake Factory. 
I had a grand old time, choppy enough to make it fun, but not choppy enough to make it dangerous. 
The 40 Foot had been taken over by hordes of teenagers with alcopops, teenage boys desperately trying to impress the girls with their dives into freezing water, and teenage girls effortlessly managing to impress teenage boys with their floss-between-the-butt-cheeks-micro-bikini-bottoms.
There was definitely a summer feel to the seaside. 

Were it not for the 15 degrees temperature.
