Taken in Nantwich about 5 miles from Crewe, this shows the ancient Crown hotel in the town centre.
Nantwich is well worth a visit, especially if you can come when the Sealed Knot recreate the Civil War battle each year, complete with booming cannon and the use of the town stocks, which still exist, to punish sinners who have infringed the strict moral code of the time.
