Hurricane Sandy

It's coming up to 4pm and we are expecting the worst of the storm over the next couple of hours. It looks like the hurricane is tracking around Massachusetts so hopefully we are not going to be in the centre of it. The rain is heavy here and we have the occasional window rattling gust but otherwise we are comfortable here at Rog and Anne's and they have prepared for all eventualities. The telephone information service is saying that there are some power lines down in the town but we are okay so far touchwood. My blip is taken from the deck.

Just as I wrote it the power went out.....and on again and a tree fell on the neighbour's cars.
