Silhouette Sunset

After some friends called in we got out mid afternoon to buy a birthday card for our brother-in-law who's birthday is tomorrow. On the way to drop off the card it started raining; after a chat at my sisters in Cardiff it was sunny on the way home. A couple of hours spent jet-washing the patio and conservatory which will need a third session tomorrow!  What changeable weather we have.

After I had a shower I popped out to capture a blip photo and our local castle came to the rescue. Opposite the visitor centre the sun descended casting a lovely glow and the birds that nest in the castle towers take flight as though getting some exercise before settling in for the night. I caught one nicely between two towers. To the right, you can just see the top of Caerphilly's famous leaning tower - it's leans far more than the leaning tower of Pisa!
