ON THE CUSP

Nostrils catch a faint wisp of crisp Spring air. Not a lungful. Just a snitch. Almost, but not yet. Soon. Soon.

Clouds will clear to sunshine, cold will warm to cool. Brown will turn to green, and gray to blue. Not yet, but soon. Soon.

Yesterday alone at the cold marsh and today on the Chagrin River with MM and Clooney.

Lots of huge old trees uprooted and fallen into the river with flood damage as far as the eye could see, impassable in several areas. The blue herons are back on the nests.

Beautiful warm Spring day at last. Waxwings still visit throughout the day. Mr. Mole did more pruning. I putzed here and there. Said hello to 3’ snake. Lots of winter wind damage and the leftover construction/excavation mess. I’ll stick my head in a book to give it a rest.
