MonoMonday 222.........patriotic

I went to Kings Park late this afternoon because I thought, as it was close to Anzac Day, I might photograph the Aussie flag, the War Memorial or similar.  How delighted I was to stumble on a sunset service to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Battle of Villers-Bretonneux.
It was simple and moving. The Ode, the Last Post, Reveille, The Lament (on the bagpipes) and yes, the goose bumps and tears were there!!
I have added a couple of extras. My Kiwi friends will recognise their flag in the image with the Flame of Remembrance and the Pool of Reflection.

Anyway, I reckon this chap would be as patriotic as the next bloke. And I reckon that all the folk who bothered to attend this afternoon are also wonderfully patriotic Aussies :-))
