What a difference a week makes...

Beyond the bridge in this picture is the North Sound, leading out to the open sea. Behind me is another bridge leading to the South Sound and after several kilometres to the open sea.
Here you see Nattviken, a bay essentially in the centre of town. Eight days ago this bay was still completely ice-covered. You can see how it looked then in the extra picture, taken from the car park on the other side of the water.
Spring has raced along, the ice has gone and soon this jetty will be lined with small boats, (and connected to the shore!)
We had a little early business in town and then walked around this piece of water. Unlike our usual walks, in this forest, this one went past several cafes, so it was a rare treat to be able to drop into Wirströms cafe for a tasty cup of coffee as we completed the circuit!
