Gastronomical

This evening we enjoyed a dinner party to celebrate a friend's "big" birthday (one of those with a 0 at the end!).  It was arranged at "Gastronomical", a pop up restaurant in the Tea Rooms at Ferny Hill Farm, Hadley Wood near Barnet.

The restaurant, open four nights a week, is run by Masterchef finalist Chris Georgiou and specialises in burgers. Although he works from a small kitchen, he was able to serve our group of more than 30 people (we had taken over the premises) quite efficiently.  The food was excellent and it was a great evening.

Towards the end of the evening the birthday cake was brought out It was not, I believe, supplied by Chris: he had already served us three substantial courses - but he was called out to cut it ready for serving.

A great evening.
