The canons' dormitory, above the cloister. The little doorway just on the left there leads to a stairway up to the Warming House, probably the loveliest space in the Abbey complex. It was the only room with an open fire, so the fathers could get a warm in the winter.
For a lot of the life of the Abbey, it was abandoned in Summer because of the danger of raids from English forces.
