World tour of Scotland - Lewis - Where Eagles Dare

No eagles were killed in the making of this blip!

A day touring part of Lewis. From Stornoway we went down the east coast as far as the border with Harris. On the way we stopped at Kershader Museum. It was interesting to see the old photos and artifacts relevant to the lives of crofters and whalers. I didn't like seeing the harpoon which was gruesome, but it was a way of life for them and provided for their needs.

We headed on towards Aline Forest on the border and it was whilst on a walk there that we heard the "grock" sound of ravens and when we looked up we saw two of them mobbing a golden eagle.

When we got back to Stornoway we had another adventure down the croft with the highland cattle, taking more photos of them, then a lovely evening again with The Mate's family.
