Bright And Dark

I think the title sums up the last 24 hours….

We had a lovely afternoon on Thursday with our daughter and granddaughter - after lunch they came back to our house for a play.. I found my old ’Mouse Trap Game’, which I got as a present in about 1968. It has seen some use but we had fun setting up the trap and Jessica enjoyed setting it off. Some of the bits are a bit well worn and it is a bit rickety, but is was fun.

Then just before they left we had news that our son, who is in the USA for a games tournament, had been involved in a car accident. Along with his friend they were passengers in a car being driven around by their American host when they had a collision at an intersection. Fortunately there were no serious injuries, just a lot of bruises. The car looks to be extensively damaged.

Sadly, a lot of their models were badly damaged too which may make playing in the tournament a little difficult. They are spending Friday trying to salvage what they can. Not good news, but thankfully he seems to be reasonably sanguine about it.

My blip is of a field of rape which has suddenly come into flower…with the dark clouds above. It was pouring with rain when I took this so it is not a particularly bright shot.
