I was surprised and delighted...

...when I spotted a pair of green herons in the bog. Stopping dead in my tracks, I shot off some frames before I continued on down the trail. Near the end of my walk, I returned to the bog. The herons were still there, wading in the shallow water, so I took some more shots. Today's blip and the two extras were the best of the bunch.
