Grand finale

Another good day in the garden and I feel ready for spring!
This evening was the final concert in the Lakeland Sinfonia season and we were treated to the BBC Philharmonic. The conductor was a very enthusiastic Duncan Ward, who seems to travel all around the world very regularly.
The best piece on the programme was the Elgar Cello Concerto played by Leonard Elschenbroich. This was superb. He had his own interpretation and a wonderful 400 year old cello with a beautiful mellow tone.
It finished off the series in great style!
