Dragon Tea & Baking

Lovely lazy chilly Saturday. Perfect for a lie-in, with tea and a newspaper. I eventually started baking and made molasses/ginger crisps, lemon cranberry muffins, streusel granola and a huge pot of Dragon (jasmine green - pictured on left) tea that our neighbour had kindly given us 2 weeks ago for rescuing her and digging her car out of the massive ice storm snowbanks left by the city street plow. My newest good friend D came over for a visit, a hair trim and assistance with filling out a form (there were questions as to some of the sayings on the form such as 'on the same wavelength' and 'in step with others'). English as a 2nd language can be confusing. She is excited to be taking her Canadian citizenship test soon and is busy studying history! Quiet evening at home then packing up and heading to Niagara Falls and wineries for a few days as an early 33rd anniversary present. Cold today and most of tomorrow (possibly even snow flurries tonight!) but then around 20 & sunshine for the rest of the week - we sooooo deserve it.
