Life through the lens...

Bluebell Ring

Met our friends at Leathley village hall for the start of our walk entitled "Bluebell Ring".  Just a pity the bluebells weren't fully out in Riffa Woods.
However for once it didn't rain, and on  the 6.5 miles we saw plenty of other wild flowers, including, my first violets.
Lovely far reaching views over the valley to Otley Chevin.
Stopped for a rest at the pretty little church of St Mary in Stainburn.
It was quite muddy in places, and one of the paths was like walking up a riverbed. So very stoney.
We did all managed to cross the little beck, although a couple got their feet rather wet as the stones were quite slippery .
It was a very good turnout. 23 in all. It just took longer to get over some of the stiles.
So back home and enjoying the usual cuppa.
Think I will sleep well again!
