Mam Tor

I'd been out hiking with my friend who was staying for the weekend, but we shortened the walk a bit because the wind on the tops was vicious and bitterly cold.  We went to a pub in Hope instead :-)

On the way home we stopped at the top of the section of the old A625 which had been swept away so many times by landslides that it was finally abandoned in 1979.  I have driven over it in the past - but you'd have no chance now in any sort of road vehicle (see extra).

I'm still running a day behind with Blip - I'll try and catch up this evening.
