Another Day in Paradise

A very pleasant walk in the sun by the Wooler Water this morning with MrM, while a new tyre was being put on the car at the garage.

The rest of the morning was spent putting photos of the newly finished guitar on to Facebook and Twitter (am I the only person to hate Twitter?), and dealing with the immediate, very positive, responses.

After an early meal, we set off to do a supermarket shop, but first a walk in the woods near Lemmington Hall. Lovely mixed woodland and some amazingly tall trees. Evidence of squirrels - lots of chewed up fir cones on the ground - but we didn’t spot any. On the way back to the car we passed this old stone in the woods; the only inscription on it is ‘Paradise’. Strange, but beautiful, place for a gravestone, if that’s what it is.

Did the shopping then MrM drove us to Alnmouth, for a short walk while we waited for dusk. (It was a very short walk as the temperature had plummeted, and neither of us was dressed for the Arctic!) I was hoping to take a few photos of the golf ball radome at RAF Brizlee Wood, which is being illuminated with the Royal Air Force logo each evening for a week to mark the Royal Air Force’s centenary. But we got fed up waiting and headed for home to warm up. Maybe we’ll go out after dark tomorrow…
