Pictorial blethers

Late afternoon sun

It's been a funny day - far colder than it looked, with a hailstorm battering the rhododendrons and magnolias in Benmore Gardens mid-afternoon and fragments of rainbows suddenly appearing and vanishing again. The car thermometer told us it was 9ºC this afternoon, and the sunshine did little to warm us.

But I think this looks like an idyllic warm May teatime on the River Eachaig, so I'm going to fool myself and try to forget how cold it felt. I did see one red squirrel close to here - and wondered if it didn't feel like going back into hibernation.
