Goldeneye drake

I had a look at the birds on the Peedie Sea- a sort of lagoon in Kirkwall. I was just thinking, as I walked toward it, that I hadn't yet seen any goldeneye there. Then I saw that six had arrived. They don't breed here but come for the balmy winter weather.
The only duck with a James Bond book and film named after it. I think that that is because Ian Fleming's family had a house on Rannoch moor beside a loch visited by goldeneye, and they named another property they owned, I think in Jamaica, after the bird, I suppose to remind them of Scotland.
