Berkhamsted School Chapel

One of the works we are singing in Chiltern Chamber Choir for the summer concert is split into two choirs. It's quite a complicated piece and so, for the first half of tonight's rehearsal we separated in to two choirs and rehearsed in different places. I was with choir 2 and we were with our accompanist, Jon, in the chapel of the school.

The school itself is very old, founded in the 13th century, but this building is relatively modern! It is accoustically bad with poor lighting and the seats are very uncomfortable - but, even though we couldn't easily see our music or hear the other voice parts, it was a good rehearsal for all that.
