Another Languedoc year...

Tramontane.....

.....is the name given to the wind we’re experiencing at the moment. The word derives from the Latin trānsmontānus, meaning beyond/across the mountains. The mountains behind Ali are the Black Mountains of the High Languedoc. It’s not particularly cold at 16C but it’s very gusty. This is our usual dog walk, within sight of home, five minutes away in the hills.
