Everyday I Write The Book

Windy City

Arriving late in Toronto and being one of the last ‘planes to tackle the 120km an hour crosswinds before they closed the airport ... well that was gut wrenching. Literally. You know it’s bad when the cabin crew look worried.Took my stomach about four hours to settle down and only then with lots of TLC and toast from The Girl Racer.

So lovely to see her again. She was waiting on the street corner for my cab (they had closed the train line due to wind causing debris on the tracks) and scooped me up off the pavement (sorry, sidewalk). After that things started to get better.

We had a really good catch up and started planning the next four days. Can’t wait to do the vegan scene tomorrow, this place is famous for it. There is even a vegan butchers.

This is the Toronto skyline. Apparently the winds will fall overnight ...
