APPLAUSE FOR ALL THE NAPOWRIMO* POETS

In April we showered our verses on Blip,
Three cheers for the poets! Hooray and hip hip!
In seventeen syllables we crammed a heap.
We even wrote haiku when we were asleep.
Some poets came early and started us off.
And to all the latecomers, our hats we doff.
We had lots of fun, and our feathers we preen.
We'll be here again — April 2019.
