A Liberation Day with lots of Dogs

"This is London... At this moment, it is announced that Montgomery has stated that the German troops in Holland, Northwest Germany and Denmark have surrendered."

Those were the words of BBC's Danish broadcast on 4 May 1945 at half past eight. They meant the end of Germany's five-year occupation of Denmark, and the radio broadcast has since become one of the most important symbols of one of the happiest days in recent Danish history.

We celebrate Liberation Day on 5th of May and today - in 2018 - it is not so much about the German troops during World War II. We do now consider Germany one of our strong allied in the European Union. Today Liberation Day is a celebration of democracy and our freedom of speech, religion and political conviction.

We've had a busy day with lots of dogs...

We started with a walk in the park in Hvalsø before Gollum's obedience class.

We left as soon as we were done training as Gollum's sister Ex-it and his girl friend Chioice had an obedience trial 40 km away at noon.

We arrived just in time for Helle and Ex-it's Obedience class 2 test.

They worked really well and woooohoooo placed 2nd in the class. Yipeeeee. Well done both.

Soon after, we were cheering Liv and Choice on in Rally Obedience class 1. They looked great in the ring and guess what??!! They placed 2nd too!

Gollum is very proud og both his sister and his girl friend. He did give her a 'well done kiss' afterwards <3

We had a lovely afternoon watching talented obedience dogs compete at all levels.

The weather was amazing, so it was really nice. A super day out.,
