Berth in blue

Hold on to your divine blush, your innate rosy magic, or end up brown. Once you're brown, you'll find out you're blue. As blue as indigo. And you know what that means. Indigo. Indigoing. Indigone.

Owen arrives mid afternoon. We go down to Smiddyhill to take delivery of Angus’ rented generator. It’s massive, mounted on a twin axel trailer. I tow it up into the forestry and we find a suitable spot.

Sausage supper for me and Owen. Boron and Ferg arrive with beer. We drink, talk and then take a daylit wander up to the Berth site with a five gallon drum of drinking water. People are beginning to arrive, but it’s not really started yet, so we don’t stay long.

A few hours later we head back up. It’s dark now and it’s hoaching with people. Angus is doing a set and the place is jumping.

Back at the house we break out wine and whisky. I make popcorn - the traditional way. Hangovers tomorrow.
