Woodland Belles

The aim today was to take the two youngest grandchildren to the bluebell woods for some angelic portraits.  Two things against that - first, the sun was incredibly bright and also the bluebells a bit thin on the ground.  We persevered and ended up with some lovely poses.  The girls were dressed in strong yellow tops and, unfortunately, the strong sun reflected the colour onto their arms and faces. (Anyone know a way to remove colour cast?)

I have converted some of images into mono and do rather like this as opposed to colour - it focuses the eyes more on the children rather than the surroundings. Here is Amelia and I'll add in an extra of big sister Sophie peering round a tree.
