Coastal Finds

The promise of a warm sunny day saw us heading to the coast.  St Margaret's Bay lies a few mile north of Dover, nestling beneath the White Cliffs (extra).  It offers little in terms of attractions like sandy beaches, shops, arcade games etc., and being a little off the beaten track is normally  relatively quiet. Even so, it was busier than normal, and I don't think the ladies in the little beach cafe had a chance to stop all day (the "Kentish Jumbo Sausage" in a bap were delicious!).

As usual I left Mum to her own devices while I wandered along the beach. I noticed this piece of seaweed with an unusual scaly covering. I have been unable to find what it is, but it makes for a rather interesting abstract.
