South Ronaldsay Blipmeet

Despite a temperature drop of about 12 degrees from yesterday there was a very warm blip welcome from Poppy and Topsyturvy, not to mention Ollie and Poppydog, this morning. First a walk at Newark Bay and round St Peter's Church (main). Afterwards coffee back in St Margaret's Hope where Cameraman kindly took the extra. It was lovely to meet in real life. Thanks Poppy and Topsyturvy - see you again I hope.

I've added a second extra of the lovely Marengo Community Garden in St Margaret's Hope where Poppy is one of the gardeners.

When we said our goodbyes Cameraman and I set off down to the very southernmost tip of the island and watched the busy shipping lane between Orkney and Scotland, had a substantial bowl of fish chowder and, because the weather seemed a bit better, returned to the beach where I'd walked with Poppy and Topsyturvy this morning.

In another return later on we're going back to where we had our morning coffee for that underrated meal a high tea. Then we really will have to pack ourselves up for tomorrow's journey.
