Another Still Life

Just for fun. I was cooking a post Cinco de Mayo breakfast which required a sliced half of avocado, and I looked down and was smitten.

There are few things as simple and beautiful than a half avocado with the seed exposed. The green fleshiness of the meat, the rough and mottled skin, the seed, large and ready to grow in its first fertile inspiration around it.

Breakfast was delicious. This guy gets to wait till tomorrow so it can be spread on toast or eaten with another meal or snack. Maybe I'll try and germinate the seed and grow a tree...
