Bonus Day!

A Bank Holiday Monday always feels like a bonus day, mainly because it is really. However, when the sun is shining it feels like an even bigger bonus!

It's at times like these you just have to go for an explore and an adventure outside. Today Mum and I headed off to Shipley to hire our old faithful friend's, the Bike&Go bikes. From there we pedalled along the canal taking in Saltaire, Five Rise Locks at Bingley, Riddlesden and Silsden. Just before Silsden we were diverted off the canal due to work being done on the towpath. It was a beautiful diversion along lovely country roads!

We got back onto the towpath in Silsden continuing on through the beautiful villages of Kildwick and Bradley before reaching our final destination of Skipton. We then got the train back, bikes on board too, back to Shipley!

A wonderful adventure with smiles from start to finish. It's been a really lovely three day weekend, aside from my Saturday morning cleaning I've hardly been inside!! Perfect. :-D Surely all weekends need to be three days to help address the work life balance issue!!
