More Drama

This time a troupe of wee mallard ducklings were being led to the sea by their mother, all the way down the path leading up from the high pier.
Eventually, she found a spot above the water and flew down, a good 4 metres at this stage of the tide. All the rest of her charges followed (12 in total) but this tiny wee one was too nervous. Eventually I had to walk over and pat him on the behind before he would jump. He bounced off a big fender above the water, then into the sea where he bobbed about happily with his siblings....
