A view from Jeanneb

Meeting of hearts and minds.

A lovely get together this morning with dear friends from my past life in teaching.

We met in a favourite place, (Saltaire), and had coffee and lots of lovely chat.

Afterwards we walked up to the more modern part of the village to browse the shops (especially the charity ones) and so walked up the upper part of Victoria Rosd which we often miss. Here you can see the houses which were originally alms houses and part of Sir Titus Salt's Hospital. All of this was part of his provision for the welfare of his workers in Salt's Mill which produced fine alpaca cloth.

The building in the picture is dated 1868 and although there is still a little colour on the trees most of the leaves are on the pavement.

We made our arrangements for our next meeting which will be for Christmas!!
