Long view

Britain's largest vineyard, Denbies, is a local attraction, so the WI Camera Group decided to take the hour long tour in the tourist train round the vines. The vineyard is mainly in the valley of the River Mole, but climbs up the slopes of Ranmore, on the North Downs. The Land Rover with its towed coaches stopped at the top where we had great views of neighbouring Box Hill and the town of Dorking. The spire of St Martins is clear to see in the middle of the town.
When we started this little Camera Group we fixed that it would always meet on the second Wednesday of the month. For at least the first year it seemed that it always rained on the second Wednesday. Now, however, fortunes have changed and recently we have had lovely weather for our excursions, and today was no exception.
