Washout Wednesday

The morning's grey on-and-off drizzle broke quite suddenly, right in the middle of lunch, into a torrential and very aggressive downpour that lasted about twenty minutes, trapping lots of us coatless inside the cafeteria. Of course there were subsequently many soggy students and teachers in the main building.  Where did last week's sun go?  (I hear it is currently vacationing in Essex, UK).

Meanwhile, in other news:  My first time hosting a challenge in Blipfoto, thank you everyone for joining in with my "musical form" theme for the month of May with this first week's subject of "Solo" (mm224).  A fine and fun album of more than 80 entries, today's hearts for 'wow factor' photos go to:

"Mono Portrait of Robert and John" - stunning photo and best "persuasive rule bending" entry from Artyfartyannie;

"Peek a Boo" a glorious butterfly portrait by Osuzanna;

"Arrival" - didn't know it was possible to make aeroplane portraits - a wonderful image from Barking;

"Solo" super spider portrait (and winner of the "eww" category) from Black Tulip;

"Solitary Fallen Leaf" - simply beautiful photograph from Nangee

and at that point I ran out of hearts, so 'honourable mention' for "One man and his dog" (Chantler63) and the rather nostalgic "Solo" (winchwench).
