Abstract Thursday : : Papyus and Tadpoles.

The pond beneath the water feature (which we once hated but now love) began filling up with a massive bloom of algae, but when OilMan went to clean it out, he discovered hundreds thousands of tadpoles. Now we can't clean it out...I attempted to get a picture of the tadpoles, and there are a few in this picture, but mostly I liked the reflections and the light, so I hope it will do for the challenge.

We went to Windsor today so Kathy could get all the kinks from the train out of our backs, and she commented that we are both leaning to the left. "I like that" she said, "but not in your spines". We have both leaned to the political left all our lives, but 55 years of marriage seems to have had the effect of both of us working to stand up straight! Kathy, never at a loss for an explanation said she thought it was "because you still love each other and want to imitate each other...."

When we got home Moises, the Squeegee King was here washing the windows. We chatted about our old dogs, his recipe for making tomato sauce, my recipes for fava beans, our garden and his knee replacement. It kept him out of his garden for awhile, but he's back to running up and down ladders now. We were worried about his work since so many client's homes burned down, but he says that he has more clients than he can take care of by himself and no luck keeping a helper for very long. He left us with sparkling windows and smiles on our faces.
