Cardinal and Nuthatch

We returned to Fort River today--just my second time since May 3rd; Marylee had been a couple of times while I worked on Wednesday's presentation. Not too many birds, but excellent luck with these two: a male Northern Cardinal and a White-breasted  Nuthatch (see the extra*)--I'd never managed a good profile. (Here's a double image two years ago.)  We watched a good deal of the quarterfinals at the Madrid Open; shockingly, Rafael Nadal lost to Dominic Thiem from Austria, ending his amazing streak of 21 matches and 50 sets on clay without a loss.

*Next morning--I just put up the the nuthatch extra, which I forgot to do last night :(
