PLEASE be aware ...

This cornflower's a beautiful purple. It's a special colour for a special day, because May 12th is International Fibromyalgia Awareness Day.
It's the birthday of a famous woman, Florence Nightingale, who's thought to have suffered from fibromyalgia herself. So it's an illness that's been around for a long time, but sadly it's no nearer to having a cure than it was when Flo was pioneering nursing skills during the Crimean War.
A petition was recently presented to the UK parliament to have fibromyalgia officially recognised as a disability, because of its life-changing effects that you can read about in the link.
I hope it succeeds. One person who would benefit is my daughter, who was diagnosed with fibromyalgia thirteen years ago, when she was seventeen.
Thank you for reading this. Please enjoy the beautiful azaleas in the park today ( extra ).
